Gia's surgery

Dear Mum,

Tomorrow Gia is getting his heart surgery.

The freaky thing is, is that the surgery is done through both his legs, and it was "supposedly" said that they are going to put a tube and camera up his large vessel in his leg (kinda) slide it up to his heart to do the surgery.

When I found out about how it was done, the first thought that came to my mind was you. You had a heart and lung machine attached to one of your legs when you were fighting for your life. And during the process your heart stopped beating. I wonder when they were giving you a series of shocks, whether your soul has already exited your body and you were able to see what they were doing to you.

But I have more confidence in Gia's procedure this time. His doctors and nurses were very kind and nice, and during his blood taking procedure a clown came up to him and did a few funny tricks, which made him less scared than usual.

I am glad it is not an open heart surgery. I remember my uncle going through the surgery and all that pain he had to suffer post-surgery during his recovery stage. All the morphine that was injected into him. Imagine an 11 year old going through that :(

Today after his "Pre-procedure" at the Royal Children's hospital my dad and I took him out to Costco and the beach, so he could try to forget about his operation and relax a bit.

Hope everything goes well tomorrow. Mum look after him from above :)

Love always,

Splurge

Dear Mum,

I have spent over $700 today on shenanigans.

This morning while I was still half asleep and was just playing around with my phone I made a few impulse buys. The major one is the pre-order of new Ipad Mini 32GB Wifi for $479.

It looks rather snazzy doesn't it? Well that's what I have told myself a few times today so I won't regret spending that amount of money later on.

My next purchase was a Scoopon voucher for a major car service with handwash and vacuum for $12. No that is no a typo, it actually is only $12. But the catch is that it is all the way in Mentone and my dad questions the whole legitimacy of the company and how much extra they will charge for this and that. So overall, not a good purchase and probably will not use it :(

I also paid off my Optus bill of $65.66. I rarely use my phone for anything but Facebook, Instagram and text, and they're basically all free so I guess I just throw away $65 every month.

I went to indulge in some fancy High tea at the Windsor hotel today :) (I swear Diptic/Instagram makes pictures look so much better)

It was like heaven! All the scrumptious cakes and sweets all ready to be eaten! I had a bad stomach pain and that deterred my will to eat a lot but I still was able to taste nearly every sweet they offered! And when I mean taste, I mean Matt Preston style, not Gary or George where they devour a whole bite x)

This is creme brulee and the green one is pistachio.

Delicious!

High tea per person was $80 per person on the weekend. But we all paid for Lisa to celebrate her 16th, which was in May. Go figure lol.

I also went past Northland and bought a Collette bag for $49.95. Impulse for sure.

Went to youth group after wards with Lisa. The funny thing I encountered was with this small boy whom sat behind me at Mass. I told him off for talking in church and then he goes,

"I think she got pubs."

I think he meant period but oh dear did I have to hold in my laughter! I could not help but let out a little chuckle haha those small boys I swear they need sex education.

After mass I went to Footscray to grab groceries for the week.

My best purchase: Green Thai mangos! I love the crunch and sweetness! It's worth going into this busy bilo when there are massive sales at the end of the day. They just try to sell everything for cheap just to get rid of stock and sell new ones the next day. From the amount I spent - $70 - I would have spent around $200 if I bought it all from Coles or Woolworths.

So adding it up all together

=$479 + $12 + $65.66 + $100 + $49.99 + $70 = $776.65

Oh dear I am definitely not spending at all for a whole month! I could go interstate for a few days with that :(

I'll just keep doing nails for now ;)

Love always,

Dedicated to you

Dear Mum,

If I could reverse time and come back to this time.

I guess this blogspot will be a virtual diary where I can tell you about my day, my thoughts and views on everyday life. Because life is precious isn't it? I believe there are better things beyond life. Not one day do I not think to myself whether living is to repay all the bad things we did in our previous lives. What do we do in our life?

Be born into the world.
Get an education.
Work to keep our arses off the side streets.
Die.

My view on death is very different now. I've always been scared of dying, and the pain we have to go through to get to that stage. Some people have a very sudden and quick death (like mother) and others suffer incredibly and still are lingering here on earth. Mother must have done a very good deed to die peacefully without going through pains that others experience. But now I am not scared, because mother is on the other side with open arms. I will do all good deeds to have an easy death when it comes.

 ====

It has been very hard these past couple of months. Especially this week. I've had been tested physically and mentally and am very excited that it is Sunday tomorrow, rest day. I am in an emotional wreck that I have no idea how I can cure but only know to put it to one side while I keep myself busy with other things.

Keep looking over me for now and give me strength to tackle everyday dilemmas. Make sure to haunt all my enemies for me this Halloween ;)

 Love always,

 Your daughter Anna xo
