Another life lost :(

Dear Mum,

A few days ago, Jan, our special client who has been doing her nails with us since we started, have passed away from cancer. I was shocked, because I had only seen her as recently as last week hanging in the plaza. My deepest condolences to her family. and now, Jan can rest in peace and continue to get her nails done by mum up in heaven

-------

Well let's date back to last Saturday. I went to my godbrother's wedding that night after work. I was expecting to know no one because we are not close and we don't have any mutual friends. But funnily enough on my table, is a couple that I met when I went on a Pilgrimage around the world when I was 9. I actually saw them recently because they came to your funeral mum and they said their condolences. That was the first time in 15 years that I have seen them and they still look the same! Pretty amazing :) And the man tried to point out his son to me (who was with his gf mind you) and I didn't have my glasses so I didn't see. But I was like whatever, maybe he had no intentions (though he did mention I was a good candidate to be his daughter-in-law) I am in no way interested. Who needs guys when you can maintain your life by yourself? I got three men at home to look after! Enough lol.

The reception was very small yet beautiful. I loved the set up and especially the wedding favours! The gold pigs actually held little chocolate eggs inside haha (I KNEW IT) but overall it was nice. Only 100 guests at an Asian wedding (Viet + Chinese), pretty amazing.

---------

On Sunday I went to get my parcel at the newsagents before having lunch with a fellow Adelaidian friend of mine, Tam Vu :) It was nice catching up with him, and the lunch was FREE thanks to him haha. We knew each other from Nang Hong in Perth.

This goddamn parcel was suppose to come in on Thursday before the wedding, but I wasn't home and instead of picking it up from Aus Post, it came through Toll (Cos it's express) and either I had to pick it up at Port Melbourne or I had to tell them to deliver to the nearest Newsagents the day after. And since I work all day Friday and Saturday I couldn't pick it up, and since they need ID my dad couldn't either. So frustating :( So I wore an old dress/jumpsuit to the wedding. Ah well.

----------

I went to Gym after work on Monday. I felt extremely lethargic and out of energy the whole day. I was contemplating whether I should go home and sleep after work or go to the gym. You don't know the extreme force that got me into those runners.

It has been 4 weeks since last went to the gym. Bad..

----------

Tuesday afterwork I went to have dinner with my uni friends that I haven't seen since the RMIT ball, or even before that!

I ordered a RibEye Medium rare with mushroom sauce. I was actually getting sick that day so I couldn't taste much. The plate was HUGE, I couldn't finish anything lol The chips were to die for. There was this tiny moment where my taste buds decided to come back and the mushroom sauce was good too. Only at Universal on Lygon :)

-----------

Wednesday was my cakepop making night after work (Yes I worked everyday this week- 56 hours total) and I didn't finish till late; my dad had to wake up and help me wrap. I was totally exhausted! I could only do it on Wednesday because I work till 9PM on Thursday and Friday, and I delivered them to Jen after work on Thurs.

----------

Friday night was Ann's 22nd birthday! I wore a pink studded dress that I got for $15 near where I work lol. It's a nice dress- the retail price of it was $65 on their site so bargain!

Cupcakes and Cakepops catered by Keep it Sweet - Contact keepitsweet_xo@hotmail.com for orders, enquiries :)

Ann was already tipsy when I got there so I decided to push her further by shouting a drink ;) Her boyfriend's band played for the majority of the night and it was nice, they were very good and I liked it.

----------

Aaaaaahh..... Saturday. Today. I'm so glad I have nothing planned after work today, I was able to go home and relax. I'm mentally and physically exhausted with everything from the business to the home chores. I really admire all the mums that do this day in day out.

Tomorrow will be another huge day, dedicated to Youth group, the little munchkins and the church. Shall see what's in store :)

Goodnight.

Love you always,

Your daughter Anna

Crazee

Dear Mum,

Today was supposed to be my relaxing day off, but I had so much errands to do and places to go I just got really busy and now I'm so drained!

I woke up early to go to Balwyn and Springvale with dad to buy nail products for the shop. This is how crazy our household gets early in the morning x)

After driving around we had Banh Mi O (crispy pork omg droolsss) and Vietnamese coffee (mega droolsss) for lunch! It's been ages since I had these two. I'm so glad I chose this over Maccas. I could eat two at that time, it was just too delicious!

Got home and I went to the shops to buy a few groceries. My brother and I took a photo together when he got home from school HAHA he's such a cute fat kid.

I had Banh Xeo for dinner. I don't really eat much but I had two of these with room to spare. I swear today my appetite was really good, I ate a lot and it's now 10pm and I'm still eating!

I made bridal cakepops after dinner. I love decorating, so making cakepops released that inner creativity beast inside of me hahaha.

Back to work tomorrow! Gotta rest up well before I start the full 12 hrs in the few days ahead. Fighting!

Love you always,

Your daughter Anna

Usher is sexy!

Dear Mum,

Remember I went to his concert the day after my 21st... even though he's old enough to be my dad but you gotta admit Usher is just so sexy!

I was driving to work and I got sick of listening to the radio because it kept playing the same songs over and over again (that's if you drive to and from work everyday) so I switched to music on my phone. I just love my car and its Bluetooth!
And so it shuffled my songs- consisting of old rnb/slow jam/trance, 2011 hits and kpop only because I don't download much- the song Little Freak by Usher ft Nikki Minaj came on. His voice just makes it that much sexier... yeh man!

I replayed it a few times then it switched to Sorry Sorry by Super Junior. That song got me addicted to that boyband. A few years back I was just youtubing and came across that song. And it made me fell in love with Sungmin. Anyway I rmb wanting to go to their concert in Sydney last year and you, mum, wanted to come with me!! "They make good songs" you said LOL It's because I play their CDs in the car when we go to work together. Gosh I loved those days. Can't take anything for granted now.

Yesterday Gia had his confirmation.

I came late because I had to work, but somehow the mass got dragged and I was able to catch everything. 45 students did the confirmation! So imagine how packed the church would be~ I cried a little when Gia and the candidates were told to stand so the parents could give them a round of applause. I didn't know whether I was happy he was able to do his confirmation (since he missed his school's one due to you being in the hospital) or whether I was sad because you're not here.

Gia couldn't be seen, so I told him to do something outrageous. So he climbed the statue :D Defs my bro!

----------

I caught up on Beauty and the Geek just before (I always miss it on TV because I have work til 9 on Thurs and Fri's) and this weeks episode, and all previous year's transformation episodes are just epic! The three guys that surprised me the most were Chard, Rich and Yiran.

Some people have mixed reactions with Yiran. But personally I love his new blond hair. Either that or cos I'm Asian amd I barrack for Asians generally lol. He looks similar to the guy host from Top model America.

I had a massive shock with this man. Rich sure looks like the 60's type, in a good way. It's like he just stepped out of the movie Grease LOL.

Chard's attitude changed DRAMATICALLY after his transformation. Let's just say he became this really hot rock dude and I love it!

I recommend for the next season, the beauties should be all men and let the women be geeks. Give us girls some eyecandy please!

Going to sleep now, this week has been too hectic and I'm glad it's nearly over :)

Love you always,

Your daughter Anna

Success!

Dear Mum,

Gia's surgery, if I read the surgeon's handwriting properly, was "successful"! Got to the hospital after work as quick as I could to see him comfortably lying on the bed watching TV on a massive screen. I asked him if he could eat yet and he said to me:

"The hospital gave me food that mum use to make."

It broke my heart when he said that, but after I asked him exactly what it was, I was glad he had a decent meal of roast lamb, gravy, peas, mashed potato and chocolate mousse, that he easily demolished. And to think I had my hopes up that he would lose some appetite and maybe lose weight after his op, he obviously proved me wrong.

The new building in the Royal Childrens was superb! Best facilities and there's a play area called the Nest in every section! My brother was in the Cardiac and Surgery area, the Koala Ward. So cute xD

I woke up the previous morning to find Quoc making breakfast. It consisted of crackers, peanut butter and tiny marshmallows. I had to shake my head at him. He copied me but somehow made his own creation. My version was only with a slice cheese and philadelphia cream cheese. But after I had his version, it tasted quite good! I was impressed~

Yesterday I had work and it was quite busy in the morning. Was getting a little stressed because we were getting too busy and didn't have enough staff. This lady came and just plomped herself onto  our chairs, said nothing but expected us to do her nails straight away. Some people...
This young lady (aroudn 16yo) came to get her nails done. She had the most gorgeous green eyes with jet black hair. I was in envy. You can tell whether ppl are talkers or not and she definitely didn't feel like talking so I just went on and did her nails. Then out of no where she said:

"You're really pretty". I coulda died. Are you kidding?! I stopped, looked at her and said "ME?!" and she said yeh you look pretty. Oh gosh, then I remembered what I was wearing...

I had my mask on the entire time she was there. And so that explains everything. I guess she was telling me either not to show my face or change religions and turn Muslim.

Getting some decent rest today before I start a new week with new challenges.

Love you always,

Your daughter Anna ♥
